Former deputy chief medical officer Dr Nick Coatsworth is shutting down calls for the delay of a return to school.

Dominic Perrottet has said February 1 is the non-negotiable date for NSW children to return to school while the union warns there will be disruptions.

Dr Nick Coatsworth told Joe Hildebrand delaying the return to school will be a “disservice to the kids of Australia”.

“I think all of the reasons that people are coming up with not to get schools back, that is dangerous. That is damaging.”
