A review of the ABC’s processes has drawn the ire of Ita Buttrose.

The ABC chair has accused the government of political interference over a decision to launch a Senate inquiry into the way it and SBS handle public complaints.

“The ABC often arrogantly refuses to apologise,” Ben said.

“The ABC has had a terrible 12 months, more apologies than ever before, more clarifications than ever before, more corrections than ever before, more defamation actions than ever before, more payouts than ever before.

“Maybe that’s why Ita Buttrose responded with such a glass jaw.”
