Ben Fordham has slammed the Melbourne Storm for accepting the excuse given by three partying players caught up in a controversial video.

Cameron Munster, Brandon Smith and Chris Lewis will pay a fine and serve a one-match suspension, after being filmed in possession of a white powder.

Munster has been banned from drinking alcohol for 12 months.

The players have told the NRL Integrity Unit they were too drunk to remember what happened.

“We can smell the BS from here,” Ben said.

“The CEO has failed to play hardball with the players and he’s let them off the hook.”
