A police chase has ended with three people trapped in a multi-vehicle crash on the Great Western Highway.

Truck driver Paul was at the scene and tells Ray Hadley he saw police pursuing the van citybound at Eastern Creek.

Police say the pursuit ensued after the 24-year-old male driver failed to stop when they were made aware the van had stolen plates.

“I was waiting to turn back onto the M7, heading back towards Pennant Hills, and a white van came flying through the set of lights… went under the highway and at the next set of lights t-boned the car there.

“The police jumped out with their guns pulled and the two blokes tried to run but the police got them.”
