‘You’re not alone’: Nick Kaldas calls on veterans to come forward

Mark Levy

The Royal Commission into Defense and Veterans Suicide seeks crucial submissions to address the ongoing national tragedy.

The inquiry has heard submissions from witnesses revealing a staggering number of suicides and a critical backlog in support from the Department of Veterans Affairs.

With just six months left for submissions, veterans are urged to come forward and tell their stories.

Nick Kaldas, the former NSW Deputy Police Chief and the Chair of the Royal Commission told Mark Levy “I think there’s been a failure on a number of levels, if you’re struggling, my very strong message is please put your hand up, reach out. You’re not alone”.
