A multi-national share market scam, known as the ‘boiler room’, has been crumbled after swindling residents around the world, including Australia, out of more than $1 billion.

Several Australians had been scammed prompting them to contact NSW-based cybercrime investigator Ken Gamble, who launched a worldwide investigation that led to the scammers being caught in police raids.

Ken Gamble told Ben Fordham that he was warned by people in the industry not to go near the operation because he would be “putting his life in danger”.

“Over $4.3 million was seized during the operation and there’s a good chance there will be funds recovered,” said Mr Gamble.
