Young doctors in NSW turning away from general practice

Chris O'Keefe

NSW Health Minister Brad Hazzard joined Chris O’Keefe to discuss the issues with the Medicare system and struggles to find GPs.

Chris O’Keefe revealed that over the last two days Federal Health Minister Mark Butler’s media team “haven’t even bothered getting back to us” to talk about Medicare.

“We are having fewer young doctors wanting to be GPs, were seeing those people in the industry tired, exhausted and of course are having problems with funding”, said NSW Health Minister Brad Hazzard.
