Mark Levy has slammed NRL CEO Andrew Abdo over what he described as a “pathetic” and lenient penalty for Ezra Mam.

The Broncos star has received only a nine-week NRL ban despite pleading guilty to drug-related driving offences, which injured a young girl.

“You hit him with a feather, and I’m embarrassed for the game,” Levy said.

“How does the NRL justify such a lenient penalty, knowing what he has done?

“He has a track record as long as my arm!”
