Lost For Words TV host Jay Laga’aia is encouraging migrants with literacy struggles to take part in a new series.

More than 43 per cent of Australian adults don’t have the necessary literacy skills needed for everyday life.

The SBS series is looking for brave Australians to take part in an intensive nine-week adult literacy program.

Mr Laga’aia told Deborah Knight the show gives people courage.

“You don’t have to struggle.”
