Australian journalist Nick McKenzie says Ben Roberts-Smith is the “worst war criminal this nation has ever had”.

The High Court has dismissed an application to appeal his defamation loss, bringing an end to a seven-year legal battle.

The nation’s highest court upheld a previous Federal Court decision that found the former SAS corporal was involved in the murder of four unarmed prisoners in Afghanistan.
