A recent, highly coordinated “Spiders Web” drone attack by Ukraine against Russia, involving 117 drones and causing an estimated $11 billion AUD in damage, has brought the future of warfare into sharp focus.

Foreign Editor of The Australian Greg Sheridan highlights that while the Albanese government announced a $10 billion investment in drones, including the “Switchblade 300,” there’s a lack of clarity on whether these acquisitions have been delivered as planned and proceeded to slam them as the “worst government history for defence capabilities”.
