‘Worse than sports rorts’: Fresh claim of Labor pork barrelling

The Federal Government is facing a fresh claim of pork-barrelling, over a flagship renewable energy policy.
Labor promised 400 “community batteries” during last year’s election campaign- in a package worth $200 million.
But the 58 projects were hand-picked by Labor.
74% of the money went to ALP seats… or seats they were trying to win.
Centre Alliance MP Rebekha Sharkie says:
“This is worse than the Sports Rorts scandal under the Coalition.”
A Freedom of Information request has revealed the relevant Government Department played no role in deciding how the 58 projects were decided.
