World skipping rope champion aspires to see the sport on the Olympic Games stage

A world skipping rope champion has explained how the sport is making wavelengths towards being represented in the Olympic Games.

Lilly Barker told Deborah Knight that skipping is growing and “in the works” of being accepted as a sports competition at the Games of the Olympiad.

“It’s a big process, and skipping for a while actually had two separate world bodies.

“We have one world body now, which is a step in the right direction.”
