Transport for NSW has provided further updates to Mark Levy about the progress of works on the closed Great Western Highway.

Earthworks for the new working platform are now complete, marking another key milestone for the project.

Survey prisms were installed over the weekend to facilitate additional wall monitoring.

Micro piling activities are continuing day and night to support the next stage of construction.

Geotechnical investigations for the climbing lane are underway.

There’s finally a positive update for small businesses and locals impacted by the Victoria Pass road closure on the Great Western Highway.

Roads Minister Jenny Aitchison has confirmed to 2GB Mornings that crews are “working day and night” and major work to restore the road has commenced.
