Woman whose car was hit by excavator is ‘lucky to be alive’
NSW Ambulance Inspector Audi Jousif speaks to Ray Hadley about this morning’s incident on the M5.
A woman was travelling eastbound when a bucket from an excavator travelling westbound struck her car.
The woman suffered a major facial laceration and a fractured arm. She was transported to Liverpool Hospital in serious but stable condition.
“She had rolled the car a number of times, landing on all four wheels at the end of it.
“I was quite relieved when I arrived on the scene to see her conscious and alert.
“If you’d seen the damage of that car, you’d think how could anybody survive that.
“She’s very lucky to be alive.”
