A tourist from Hong Kong has been arrested after a woman discovered a hidden camera in their shared hostel bathroom at Bondi.

The 27-year-old woman, a French tourist, found the camera hidden in a deodorant stick last night.

It was discovered in the ensuite she shared with the man, who she didn’t previously know.

She took photos and contacted police, who arrested the 36-year-old man.

Detective Superintendent John Duncan tells Ben Fordham police found remnants of the smashed camera and other secret videos of women after searching his property.

“The search of his equipment identified a number of computer hard drives which have quite a few photographs of various women in private acts.”

He’s facing multiple charges and has been refused bail before facing court today.

Police are encouraging any women who think they may have been a victim to come forward.
