A woman has been charged by police after they allegedly caught her driving with two children in the car while high on ice.

The 31-year-old woman was pulled over by police at Narrendera, in the Riverina region of southern NSW, at 4.40pm on Thursday afternoon.

During a roadside drug test, she was arrested after allegedly testing positive for methamphetamine.

Two young children, including a 25-day old-baby, were in the car at the time.

Assistant Commissioner Michael Corboy tells Luke Grant it’s “an aggravated situation”.

“The particular case that you’re talking about… is particularly concerning to us.

“This has been an emerging issue for some time.”
