Detectives investigating the disappearance of William Tyrrell are concluding their search operation where the toddler vanished from in September 2014.

The most recent search of the area began on November 15, employing hundreds of police and specialists including an archaeologist, a forensic anthropologist and a hydrologist.

Forensic examination of seized items and soil will continue, but a repatriation of the site will be facilitated in coming days.
