Will you need a fourth COVID jab? Maybe not

Article image for Will you need a fourth COVID jab? Maybe not

Healthy Living host Dr Ross Walker has weighed in on the future of COVID vaccination doses as the booster program continues in Australia.

New research has found that healthy people may never have to get a fourth dose of the COVID vaccine, with sufficient immunity to fight the virus off in a few days after three doses.

Some elderly and immunocompromised Australians have already received their fourth jab but no decision has been made for the general population.

Dr Walker told Ben Fordham he backs a “wait and see” approach.

“I don’t think it should become a big deal until we see what’s happening.

“It could be that this is the final variant … we just don’t know.”
