Hollywood is in turmoil with both the writers and actors guilds on strike for better work conditions.

There’s solidarity across the globe, but questions remain whether local Australian actors will follow suit via their union the Media, Entertainment, and Arts Alliance (MEAA).

Muriel’s Wedding star Matt Day joined Deb to discuss whether the MEAA will follow suit.

UPDATE: Sam Neill production Apples Never Fall will cease production this afternoon in Queensland as a result of the SAG strikes, with co-star Annette Benning being in the guild.
