A widow says she’s heartbroken a Sydney park named in her late husband’s honour could be changed.
The park in Dover Heights has been unofficially called Warren Zines Reserve since 1999, but council never applied for the official name.
The Sydney Morning Herald has reported on a push to have it named after AFL legend Adam Goodes.
Lynette told Ben Fordham the park was named after her husband, two years after he passed in a bridge collapse in Israel.
“I have no problem with a park being named after Adam Goodes … but don’t take away the name of another park.”
