Industry Super Australia (ISA) has called on the government to mandate more frequent superannuation payments, in order to end Australia’s multi-billion dollar unpaid super troubles.

According to the ATO, there’s around $3.4 billion in unpaid super every single year, with approximately 1 in 4 workers across Australia not receiving money in their accounts.

CEO of ISA, Bernie Dean, told Deborah Knight that “It shouldn’t be this hard”.

“They think that they’re getting away with things, by not paying super more frequently, and yet when it comes to the end of the quarter, they’ve got these huge liabilities,” said Mr Dean.
