Sydney is at risk of missing out on big theatre productions due to lack of space in the city.

Sydney currently only have two blockbuster sized theatres in The Capitol and The Lyric, whilst Melbourne have four theatres to host big productions.

CEO of Newtheatricals production company, Rodney Rigby, admits it’s an “incredibly frustrating” situation and wants more venues to host blockbuster productions in the city.
