Have you managed to stay COVID-free these last two years?

The Afternoons team has come down with COVID but Deborah Knight still hasn’t contracted it, despite many near-misses.

Infectious diseases expert Professor Robert Booy told Deborah that women are more “genetically and behaviorally resistant”.

“Women are less likely to get … COVID than men are.

“It’s also as we get a bit older we’re a bit more careful and are less likely to expose ourselves in close proximity to someone who’s infectious.”

The professor admits it also comes down to a little bit of luck.
