‘Why not earlier?’ – Michael McLaren on Australia’s ‘lagging’ response to the IRGC
Michael McLaren is asking why it took so long for the government to proscribe the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corp (IRGC) as a terrorist entity.
He notes that the US acted in 2019 and the British Parliament debated it in 2023, while the Australian government only acted after the alleged involvement of the IRGC in two anti-Semitic attacks on home soil.
