Why Gladys Berejiklian is NOT helping the Liberal Party.

Pre-poll opens tomorrow for the NSW election but would the Liberal Party be in a stronger position to win the poll if former NSW premier Gladys Berejiklian was still in the top job?

Ben Fordham said the answer is yes, taking a swing at the ICAC process forced Ms Berejiklia’s resignation.

“Everyone knows this process isn’t fair,” Ben said.

“Hearings should be held in private.

“And targets should only be identified when corrupt behaviour is proven.

“They shoot first, ask questions later.

“If the process was fair, and based on a presumption of innocence, then Gladys Berejiklian would be campaigning because she’d still be the Premier of NSW.”

Ms Berejiklian is not back on the hustings for next week’s NSW election.

She’s not fighting to save Liberal seats and there is a good reason why.

“She would have stolen some of the spotlight off Dominic Perrottet,” Ben said.
