Why did Australia record 25,000 excess deaths last year?

There is some concerning new data from the Bureau of Statistics surrounding excess deaths.

Last year 25,000 more Australians died compared to historical averages. It’s an increase of almost 15%.

Experts say we haven’t witnessed this sort of spike in 80 years.

“If we don’t investigate and offer some firm answers, those whispers will be able to grow louder,” Ben said.
