Why bureaucracy is preventing retired teachers from returning to the profession
The New South Wales government has been criticised for making it difficult for retired teachers to return to the workforce to help solve staff shortages.
2GB listener and retired teacher David Batten told Chris O’Keefe bureaucracy is stopping him from returning to work.
“There’s classrooms with no teachers in them,” said Mr Batten.
“I’ve called nine times and didn’t get anywhere.”
