Scott Morrison is in the spotlight after it was revealed he secretly took joint control of three cabinet roles during the pandemic.

The portfolios include health, finance and resources, which enabled him to override any decisions made by appointed Ministers.

The Governor General’s Office says the appointments were legal but Cabinet will meet today to address the saga.

Ben Fordham says “it’s a giant storm in a tiny teacup”.

“At the end of the day, he didn’t use the powers as Health Minister or Finance Minister.

“There have been many cases where I’ve held him to account because I believe he’s done the wrong thing – this is not one of those occasions.”
