Ben Fordham has revealed instances of how Aussies are being “ripped off” on solar panels.

A Breakfast listener explained how her solar feed-in tariff is changing.

“People with solar panels receive a feed-in tariff, that’s a credit for any unused energy that is sent back to the grid. But without warning the AGL has reduced Sonja’s tariff, from 12 cents to between 10 and 5 cents per kilowatt”.

Another caller Ash told Ben how power companies are also adding a supply charge.

So you can switch to solar, install a battery, reduce your carbon footprint and the energy giants are still going to rip you off,” Ben said.
