The next federal election is not expected to be an easy win for either party amid speculation of when it will take place.

There are reports the 2022 election will be called for early May.

The Australian Political Editor Dennis Shanahan told Ben Fordham “there’s no doubt” the Prime Minister is facing challenges heading into the next election.

“It’s the first time for a long time where we’ve actually had two sides going into an election where they both need to win seats to win government.

“This a very tight contest and people’s vote is really going to count.”
