Deborah Knight is blasting the Transport Minister, David Elliott, over the train fiasco that sent Sydney into chaos.

The Australian has learned concerns were raised over the authority of transport officials to unilaterally shut down the train network without consulting the government, while the Transport Minister slept.

“Who is running the state of NSW?” Deborah said, “Is it the government or is it the bureaucrats?”

“At the end of the day, the buck’s got to stop with the Minister.

“An apology wouldn’t go astray either.”
