With thousands of COVID cases in NSW, an infectious diseases expert has explained when those who have been infected should get their booster dose.

NSW Health advises people who have recovered from COVID to wait four to six weeks before getting their booster.

Professor Robert Booy echoed this advice, telling Ben Fordham “there’s no rush”.

“You’re going to have some natural immunity having had it.

“To get the booster on top will lead to longer, stronger immunity.”
