‘What’s taken so long?’ – Abandoned leagues club to become $285M apartment complex
After more than a decade of inactivity, the derelict Balmain Leagues Club site in Rozelle is finally set for redevelopment.
NSW Planning Minister Paul Scully confirmed plans for a $285 million project featuring 227 apartments, including 59 affordable homes, across three towers up to 16 storeys.
The catch is that, for at least 15 years, the housing provider will manage the home to provide affordable housing for others.
