The CEO of Sydney WorldPride, Kate Wickett provided insight with Chris O’Keefe on what attendees can expect at the 17-day event.

Sydney is welcoming back travellers with WorldPride in celebration of the 45th Mardi Gras parade anniversary and the fifth year of Australian marriage equality.

Kate said “there’s something for everyone” at the event set to start tomorrow.

The Mardi Gras event will be on Oxford Street in and around Darlinghurst for nine days.

“We are opening up in Crown Street with free performances, art, food, drinks, restaurants, and cafes”, she said.

50,000 people will march on the beloved Sydney Harbour Bridge on the last day of the parade.
