The tally of resignations from Boris Johnson’s government continues to grow as nearly 40 conservative MPs have jumped ship.

The UK Prime Minister is being grilled by the parliamentary liaison committee, on everything from transport to war in Ukraine.

A snap poll by YouGov on Tuesday evening found that 69 per cent of the British population think that Johnson should resign
