Australian country singer Travis Collins has described “how good it felt” to be on the same stage with the iconic Tim McGraw.

The American country singer is notorious for his music globally and Travis was able to share the stage with him at the Country to Country Music Festival in 2019.

Mr Collins told Ray Hadley it was a “pinch me” moment.

“Throughout the early years of my career, I would sit in pubs doing covers of his songs and now you fast forward to being able to go on the road and open for him and hang out backstage.”

Leading the charge in the Australian country music fold with his soulful voice and earthy sound, Travis has also released his latest single One of Them Nights.

Travis performed live in the 2GB studio for Ray and said the song “sets the tone” for a good night out.

“There’s always something in those memorable nights that gets everybody on the same wavelength,” he said.
