Australian comedians are touring drought-affected communities across NSW to spread cheer during tough times.

The What a Relief! stand-up comedy tour will see award-winning comedians Damian Callinan and Rob Carlton visit 27 regional towns to deliver free evenings of entertainment to locals.

The tour will help deliver crucial mental health messages in a way that’s entertaining, immediate and relevant.

Rob Carlton tells Ben Fordham the main thing he knows about the bush is “that every single time I go out there I’m welcomed with open arms”.

“I find community and people that are wanting to talk about their real issues  -they’re wanting to open their hearts.

“It’s family and it’s community.”
