‘We’ve struck a nerve’: Hadley, PM’s office go head-to-head over Albanese comment

Ray Hadley has called on Prime Minister Anthony Albanese to own up to a mistake after questions were raised about whether he said “white people” when commenting on the voters who voted No for the Voice to Parliament referendum.

This request comes in light of audio that emerged of comments made by the Prime Minister in Parliament, which Hadley played on air.

After playing the audio, Hadley revealed that he received several phone calls from the Prime Minister’s office, claiming that Albanese’s words had been misrepresented.

“We’re not suggesting he did it deliberately, we’re suggesting he made a mistake,” Hadley said.
