Macquarie National News

Wests Tigers player Michael Chee Kam has been charged with assault after an altercation with a ride-share driver at Bondi.

Chee Kam is accused of repeatedly punching a man through an open driver’s window on Saturday night.

Passing police were flagged down, and a short time later they arrested 26-year-old Chee Kam.

An 18-year-old, believed to be a relative, has also been charged.

The NRL Integrity Unit says it’s aware the Wests Tigers player has been charged.

In a statement, the team says it’s working with the NRL Integrity Unit and won’t be making any further comment at this stage.
