‘We won’t accept this’ – Police fuming after brazen daylight shooting in Sydney’s south-west

Acting Police Commissioner Peter Thurtell says the two gunmen allegedly fired eight shots inside the shop before fleeing in a black Audi with cloned plates.
Police do not believe the woman, who was shot twice in the torso, was deliberately targeted, but reaffirmed it’s still early days in the investigation.
“Police deployed straight away, including members of Taskforce Falcon … this is a shocking broad daylight attack, in a city like Sydney, we won’t accept this,’ he said.
Mr Thurtell also confirmed to 2GB Sydney Now, the 26-year-old had reported for bail just an hour before he was shot.
“The fact that he was out and about is disturbing in itself, but obviously, people know where he is and they found him on two previous occasions,” he added.
