A python has been filmed devouring a bird on the roof of a home on the NSW Far North Coast

The snake can be seen hanging from an antenna, with the lifeless currawong in its mouth.

The video was posted to Facebook by Cathy Gall at Kingscliff, near the Queensland border.

Her captions, “Nature in your face… only in Australia”, sum things up pretty well.
