Shocking dashcam footage shows a ute nearly crashing into a car while attempting to overtake a truck near Cooma.

The footage, which was posted on Facebook, shows a ute narrowly avoiding a head-on crash when the driver tried to overtake a truck.

The oncoming car is forced to swerve into the hard shoulder to avoid hitting the ute.
