The NSW Premier has apologised for rushing the abortion bill and opened up on her own religious beliefs in relation to the debate.

Premier Gladys Berejiklian joined Ben Fordham in the studio to discuss the controversial bill, which has caused great division within the Coalition.

Many have argued the government has attempted to rush the bill through without sufficient community consultation.

The Premier apologised to those who feel the process hasn’t been extensive enough.

“I’m sorry if people feel that they were rushed,” says the Premier.

“But I say this Ben, the issue has been canvassed before. The issue has been canvassed publicly.”

The Premier also opened up on her own religious beliefs.
