Police have released CCTV vision (see below) as they appeal for information in relation to a roofing scam in Sydney’s south-west.

At about 4pm on Friday 30 November, four men attended a home in Milperra claiming to be roof tilers, informing the two residents their roof needed repairing.

After the residents paid the men part of the money for the repairs, they became suspicious and told the men they didn’t want the repairs done and to leave.

The men refused to give the money back and left the house.

Police have been told when the men left, a woman noticed the remainder of the money missing from her wallet.

An investigation has been launched and detectives from Bankstown Police Area Command believe the men in the footage may be able to assist with inquiries.

Police have been told the men may have been driving a silver 1997-2003 model Daewoo Nubira station wagon.

All four men spoke with an Irish or English accent.

Investigators believe the incident may be linked to similar offences reported around Bankstown, Burwood and surrounding suburbs.

Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers: 1800 333 000
