The Liberals have released a Lord of the Rings-style ad with an animated character playing Anthony Albanese.

The ad titled, ‘The Lord of the Flip-Flops: The Return of the Taxes’, depicts the Opposition Leader as a character obsessed with taxes.

“It’s one of the stranger ads that we’ve seen so far in this election campaign,” Ben Fordham said.

Ray Hadley says the Liberals should focus on Mr Albanese’s gaffes when creating election ads.

“What it tells me is the people running the campaign are braindead dopes.”
