Mark Latham has savaged the government for backflipping on Pauline Hanson’s “it’s okay to be white” motion.

The Coalition initially supported it in the Senate before apologising and saying it was an administrative error.

Mark Latham tells Ben Fordham there’s no way that’s true.

“No, they’re as weak as water. They would have woken up this morning and read the Fairfax press and listened to Radio National and gone to water.

“They couldn’t stand up for what they should believe in and they’ve caved in to a bit of media outrage because it’s [Pauline] Hanson.”
