WATCH| Epic downpour leads to urgent alligator relocation at the Australian Reptile Park

Clinton Maynard

A massive American Alligator named Brutus was relocated by keepers at the Australian Reptile Park this morning.

After rapidly rising water levels it allowed the alligator to swim over an internal boundary fence, causing him to be stuck between fences.

Keepers moved fast to undertake the incredibly dangerous task to get him back over the fence, joining the 55 alligators in the lagoon.

Jake Meney, the Head Reptile Keeper told Jim Wilson “The only way to move them is with manpower”.

“Pretty wild, pretty silly.”

He reassured that Brutus is now ok after the relocation.
