WATCH: Electrician catches python after it eats family cat

A Queensland electrician saved the day on Monday, catching a python who’d eaten a family’s cat.

Electrician Brydie Maro was travelling home when she got a call from one of her regular customers.

Although the family’s cat couldn’t be saved, the snake which was curled up under the house was captured and taken away.

Brydie tells Ben Fordham she’s well qualified to capture the snake and has been handling reptiles for 18 years.

“That particular customer… that’s the fourth snake I’ve removed from her property.

“They are a big snake and they will take prey that they see fit to take.

“I’ve had a couple of lace monitors as well.”
