A listener has sent Ray Hadley a video, showing a man with a large garbage bag raiding recycling bins for cans and bottles.

Ray says more people are scavenging through bins to get Return and Earn refunds.

“He’s not doing anything wrong. He’s doing something that’d be completely legal I would imagine.

“It will be a growing industry.”

Ray also says 30 or so people were queued at his local Return and Earn centre at the weekend, many of them adults.

“Who has got that much time on a Sunday afternoon?

“It’s a strange old world in which we live. Maybe it’s to supplement the mortgage.”
